Self Evaluation:

In this area i felt like i grew as a writer. At the beginning of the semester i remember this was one of my weaker areas. I remember having the mindset of “i want my first draft to be perfect”. After our first major writing project there were clear examples of how i tried to make my rough draft perfect and you could see how i was missing detail and evidence in my paper. Looking back now at the evidence i have for my rough drafts of Gee and Cuddy they look more like how rough drafts are suppose to look in my opinion. My mindset has changed from wanting my first draft to be perfect, to “i know my paper is going to need work, and be willing to see and understand where it needs work”.

During the midterm conference we had, I said in this section i felt like i had a lot of room for growth. After finishing this project and looking back at my evidence, i felt like i defiantly made a step in the right direction, but i still have some work to do. Looking back at my annotations, i wanted to grow in the area of understanding what the author is trying to say, but also asking questions. I felt like i had growth in both these areas.

Self Evaluation:

This section i personally feel is my weakest. Or in other words, the area with the most room for growth. I have a lot of challenges this semester with trying to really give good solid feedback to my peers. To be honest i think my critiquing of my peers work was better in a sense earlier this semester rather than right now. I don’t want to say to went back in development in this area, but i feel as though i stayed exactly where i was in our first meeting. This is why i believe this is the area for me that has the most growth potential. I worked with Jack a lot, trying to get pointers on how to give feedback that will improve the writers paper. I feel as though i gained some tips and i showed them, but then again i feel as though i didn’t show enough evidence on my ability to peer review, so that is why i believe I’m exactly where i was at during mid-term meetings.

Self Evaluation:

In this area there is defiantly evidence of me using MLA appropriately. Going back to the beginning of the semester, i feel as though as i showed some growth. But as you are going to see in the next area, i defiantly have some room for growth.

Self Evaluation:

In this area there is defiantly room for  me to grow. I learned the right ways to use MLA appropriately but didn’t show that in my paper. There were times in paper when i did do the right MLA format, but then again there were a couple times where i didn’t use MLA appropriately. Overall i think i grew in this area a little bit. From the mid-term until now i would put myself just a little bit in front of where i was.
