Scientific literacy is; the knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and processes required for personal decision making(as said in bio lab).
Throughout this semester i have felt i have learned to read, understand, and eventually write scientific literacy. I think the lab where we had to find a scientific article and read it and write a paper about it. Learning how to digest scientific material was hard but the more scientific papers and articles i read, the more i understood then and was eventually able to educate other about what i have just learned. Learning how to read a scientific paper might not help me in the future but the tasks and what went into understanding the piece of literacy will help me. Being able to slowly digest a piece if writing will always be useful and being able to understand what people are describing to you, even though some of the language and dialogue might be advanced.
